Children that are 12 years old certainly have the capacity to fall in love, but not the maturity. A 12 year old would more likely be infatuated, not being able to discern the nuances of what real love is all about, which takes experience and maturity. Take your time, there's so much of it left for you. Don't do anything rash, like have sex, you're way too young, and it can cause a lot of problems, especially the obvious, pregnancy and disease, as well as mental health problems later. If a person under the age of 14 engages in so-called consentual sex, it can still effect them as though it were molestation. A person at that age is not capable of making those decisions, even if they seem grown-up or really in love. Hormones are going crazy then, and some of our thoughts and feelings change very quickly. BE CAREFUL!

I seriously doubt that they are in love. I thought I was in love too when I was 12. But it was only kiddie crushes. You mind and body has to mature first before you start thinking about love. But when you are in love , you can feel it.

I'm 12....IM IN LUV...I told him....we went out...we're perfect for eachother...just make sure non of ur friends like him/her... that ruined my friendship :(
