a decent sex life is down to both partners making an effort, sadly most couples seem to get to a stage where they think that it's the other person's job to make all the effort, and then their sex life disappears. You are a lesson in how it should be done, keep making the effort to keep the fires burning, and it can only get better and better.

Okay technically it's only been 24 years. But I can honestly say it has gotten better over the years. The kids are out of the house and we are more relaxed and it is never the same. I must credit him with having a wonderful imagination and keeping it fresh. And it helps that we are in tune with each other. Younger friends use to comment on their frequency and I have always said and still stand by the belief that quality is a whole lot better than quantity. Don't you think?

I'm not married, but I say congratulations. Sex isn't love and love isn't sex. But for some reason they both are Incorporated with each other.

I want to say congratulations on a successful marriage and congratulations on being successful in a part of the marriage that seems to drive couples closer or more apart.

Sex in a marriage isn't about that "lusty, sexy" feeling. It is about communication and compromise. It is very easy to do that when you truly love someone.

Once again, congratulations

I'm not married, but when I do, I hope I can post this same question.

Sorry, but I do not agree with you but every couple is different, so please do not take this personal.
I have been married 38 years and for the past 8+ years we live under the same roof, but in different parts of the house.
I am glad that you two are enjoying it together and I hope it continues with you until the very last day of your life.
I am still active, and I am getting desperate to go elsewhere but this is me.
I wish you and your hubby the best of luck.

I'm a 46yr old male and i used to think that older women were the best till i met my present g/f. she is 52 and when we first met in Jan of this year the sex was great. then after we got a house together in Feb, it all went away. she decided that our relationship needed to be based on love not sex so she took our sex life from anything goes to a quick roll in the sack. i thought that only younger women played games, i learned that older women are just better at it. SO IF YOUR SPOUSE IS STILL WILLING, EAGER AND ABLE I SAY GREAT CUZ IN MOST INSTANCES IT IS NOT ALWAYS THAT WAY

Never made it that long. It's usually fizzled out by 12 years, and the sex way before that. Good luck to you.

Well after 16 years I can't complain. It seems to be getting better with time, like fine wine. I guess you get to know each others likes and dislikes and your body becomes part of his and vice versa to the point where he doesn't have to ask you what turns you on and you don't have to ask him. It's great !

been married almost 7 years and our sex life sucks.
I love him to pieces and wouldn't think about divorce or cheating, but the sex just isn't there.
consider yourself lucky. I'm hoping for a change for the better.
we haven't had sex all year, but the last time we did, was awesome.
