When this happened to me I called my OB/Gyn immediately. She had me come directly to her office right then and there. They did a vaginal ultrasound (the other kind wouldn't show since I was only 8 weeks along) and they said the fetus wasn't as big as it should be. They sent me home and told me to stay in bed, not exercise, etc and see how it went over the weekend. I continued to bleed and had clots all weekend and called the doctor again on Monday. Again, I went directly to her office for a vaginal ultrasound. This time, they didn't see an attached fetus any more. I went the next morning for a D&C.

I know it sounds awful and it was at the time. I tell my self that it just wasn't meant to be. I got pregnant 7 months later with my son. He's 9 now. If the other baby had survived I wouldn't have my Jacob and he's precious to me.

Call your doctor, get it checked out. If you are having a miscarriage (which I suspect you may be) there really isn't anything any one can do for you except give you emotional support. Make sure you take care of yourself either way.

Sure sounds like a miscarriage. Get to the hospital as soon as you can. If you are really having a miscarriage, there isn't much that can be done to save your baby at this stage, however they can give you some comfort and advice at the hospital. Plus after a miscarriage there are some procedures that need to be taken to make sure you are ok physically.
Good luck and I wish you all the best!

Probably was a miscarriage but sometimes its a blessing in disguise. Might have been a child that could not survive/was deformed/was unable to completely grow. Nature has a way of helping at times like these. To be sure, go to your doctor ASAP!
