I know of a story similar to this, and I do not think there is an actual true answer. It may be something that happened to him along time ago, and he never got over it. It is a terrible tragic thing, and I hope that his wife does not do the same thing.
I do not think that I could ever commit suicide over someone else, even if she had a million dollars.
I have a father n law that nearly committed suicide and he is finally getting some medication and his family is looking after him more to prevent this from happening again.
If they have children, I hope everyone in the family gets professional counseling before it is too late for them.
Good Luck

I am not saying that he did not love his wife but an argument that is not anough,
how far will I go for Love well I move to another country and I know no one there
but commit suicide no (probably because i have children) I would never commit anough to do that. Will I take a bullet for the one that I love yes
but I am also Catholic suicide in a sin (the biggest)
Pray for his soul & Condoleance on your friend death

I dont think people kill themselves out of this feeling of profund love. Those that end their life feel helpless and usually have suffered from some sort of depression for quite a long time prior to ending their life. As far as how far I would go for love? I would go as far as possible without hurting myself or anyone else. Self preservation is a must.

For someone to kill themselves over an arguement shows they have other problems going on. That man could not have been in the right frame of mind and I'm sure that if he were under the care of a therapist or psychiatrist this would not have happened.

I have risked everything, done things I would never do, never gave up even when I knew I would loose, and after repeating all that numerous times, I would still try....
Of course, death sort of puts an end to all of that. I would do anything for real love. Unless you are Romeo & Juliet, suicide is never in name of love.

he didn't do it for love, he did it out of hate. He wanted his wife to find him and get really hurt that she was the cause. What sort of thing is that???? not love, but since I am a firm believer in Love doesn't exist then it was just a bunch of bull

I don't think I would go that far.
And I dont think his suicide had anything to do with love for his wife.
