I have a question on the Game Half-Life.?

I am at the part where u just get out of were the monster with the 3 heads is. I am stuck at that big fan. I turn it on and wait and nothing happens. What do i do?

man, i haven't played that game for a while. i'm not too sure, but i think you have to go around and turn the water pipes on and stuff. just look around. i'll have to play that game again to give you the right answer. i'm a big half-life fan bay-bee!
