I would like to know what the minimum visitation may be when I go to court. My es-wife is really fighting me hard and I have very little money to spend on a lawyer. Fathers have sooo few rights!! It mkes me sick! Most dead beat dads want out, I pay my child support and want to see my kids and she is keeping them from me. And there is little I can do about it unless we go back to court.

I dont know what it is like in your state. But in mine they frown upon full custody to one parent unless one parent isnt stable mentally physically or financially. A lot of judges like to have the kids be with both parents because they feel that is the healthiest thing for the kids. I think that you have a really good chance as long as there arent any other factors in play like drugs money or some sort of atmosphere that isnt appropreiate for children. Especially if the children are young or if you have an infant they really like you to have joint custody and they even recommend every other day because its a crtical time in an infants life to be with both parents and to know them. The best course of action is to go to court you may not have a lot of money for a good attorney but you should at least try to get a cheap attorney maybe one that is just starting out with little experience and are trying to get some business. Its really a hands down type of ordeal.

You ex wife really needs some growing up to do its really sad to put your kids in between your problems.

You are so wrong, you as a father have a lot of rights. A lot of men tend to think that they do not have any rights. If you are paying your child support on time, you have a RIGHT to see you kid. I work for the Court system and these days you don't have to have a lawyer in order to go to Court, especially concerning visitation. Go to your Court or look for their website and they should have paperwork available under Family Court. You should look for something that says "Modification of Child Visitiation" Usually step by step directions are provided on how to fill out the paperwork and how to serve your ex-wife. If not there should be a hotline. Whatever you do, don't give up your RIGHTS. There are so many men out there who don't give a damn about their kids and when the men that do want to be in their kids' life, then you have these no good women who stop them. I can't stand my ex at all but I have never stopped him from seeing our daughter. That would only hurt her in the end. Good Luck.

Fathersrights.com.....Start there, If you have a legal custody and visition order and she denies you visition SUE Her Butt!!! It's a legally binding court document and valid in ALL 50 states, you may have to go back to court for more visits, but you can do the paper work yourself, you can file the motions they aren't to hard to do and most courts will help you file them. P.S. check out rosenlaw.com theres alot of useful information on there too.

child support and visitation are two different things in most states.
my ex was always behind in support, but i was told by my attorney that i CANNOT stop him from seeing my daughter because he is behind. if you have a visitation schedule in your decree, and she isn't letting you see the kids the way decree says, she is in contempt.
no matter if you can afford it or not, time to go back to court and possibly send HER butt to jail for contempt.

Time to go back to court. Assuming you have paid your support faithfully, you have ever right to see your children. What she is doing is nor right and perhaps illegal.
