You can use a variety of pesticides.
Horticultural oil.
Azadirecthin,insect growth regulator.
Seven dust.
Even dish soap and diligent washing of the leaves.

There is a totally natural method, how ever.
type in to google the words beneficial insects.
you will find sites that sell bugs that eat bugs!
This way you won't have to worry about pesticides on foods that you are going to eat. The bugs will kill the bugs.
If you have a heavy infestation, you can still use the Azadirecthin with the beneficial insects with no side effects to the GOOD bugs!

Spray plant with Malathion spray. It's a concentrate so you will need to mix according to the labels instruction.Or you can use a ready to use insecticide like ortho.(they are available at Home depot stores)Or a natural product called insecticidal soap.Which you can buy ready made. If you don't want to buy anything like that, you can try mixing ivory soap and water and spray it on your plants, however this is the weakest method, and may not be successful. This will solve your problem.

The best is dish soap and water in a spray bottle, it won't harm your plants and the flies will suffocate. Also your plants will be nice and shiny.

Get a spray bottle and put a few drops of dish washing liguid in it, and the rest water. Not too much soap....
Then just spray the plants...That'll kill any bugs that are "bugging" (hehehe), your plants.
good luck ! ! !
