This is nothing to do with breaking C-C bonds. It's do to with weak van der Waal's forces, which are stronger in cyclic molecules than in straight-chain ones. If the molecules fit together well, with good surface area contact, that will increase the strength of these vdW forces, and hence the boiling point.

For boiling a solution, you have to breake (rupture) the bond between carbons. In a cycle, the bond are stronger. In a linear carbon chain, the bonds is easier to break
