My uncle downloaded something onto my computer and now it wont start all my pics are on my computer and I CAN'T lose them is there anyway to force it to start or to start it from the Windows XP disk. I have already tried all the F8 options and am getting very frustrated.

Put your hard drive in another computer running windows xp. Boot from the other hard drive and copy your pics from your hard drive to their hard drive. This will only work if your files aren't encrypted.

I think you may be able to get a Ubuntu boot disk and run the live copy off of that so you can access your windows xp partition and get the files and burn them to a disk. Then you can reformat.
Or a simpler solution is hire a technician.

If safe mode didn't work I recommend slaving the hard drive into another computer to retrieve the files off of it.

use the hard-disk of ur pc to the network of sme other pc then it will show ur hard-disk as a new drive in the other comp,copy ur
required data to other comp and format ur hard-disk and reinstall the new window and take ur data from other comp.

Nope, you have to reformat windows and you will lose all of your data that you didn't back up.
