Visigoths (West Goths), division of the Goths, one of the most important groups of Germans. Having settled in the region W of the Black Sea in the 3d cent. A.D., the Goths soon split into two divisions, the Ostrogoths and the Visigoths.

There really were original Goths. Just FYI! ;)

Well, you put your statement up front and out there, so there's probably no point in trying to persuade you that each and every goth is as reasonably diverse as anyone else, i.e., bankers, punk rockers, modern artists, French students, sheep farmers, whatevers. Each individual gets a little something different out of it...'course, I'm not going to try to persuade you.
