Sure they can RUN, but they can't WIN!!!!

Yes they can. A number of people that lost ran again (Richard Nixon lost to John Kennedy, and was later elected - twice).

Both Kerry and Gore seem to be making it pretty clear they want to run again. The only problem: once you lose, your supporters sometimes think of you that way. Also, your opponents also know your vulnerabilities - especially if you bungled bad the first time.

They can run, but it won't be likely. I wish Gore would run again...but oh well.
