I'm currently living in Seattle, Washington, after having pranced around Europe for a while. (I'm from Mnachester, England)
I'm getting my driving permit soon but for the moment I have a bike and the bus system.

I'm just wanting to know if any of you folks have ideas on what to do here? I like the place alot ... but I'm 20 so they won't let me in bars ... which was what I spent much time doing in Europe!

Taco Bell is out of the question - It smells tastey but I'm vegan!

I hope you have checked out Mighty O donuts in the university district. They are vegan and delicious. Also, check out Bamboo Garden next to seattle center. Another vegan restaurant. I go every time I'm in seattle.

There are 18+ clubs, but of course no drinking. You can always take the Victorian Clipper to Canada for a weekend (or just drive the 2 1/2 hours there) and drink there.

For restaurants, you might try either the Sunshine Cafe in Roosevelt or Carmelita's in Phinney (both great vegan restaurants).

As for other ideas, I guess I'd start out with the basics...getting to know each neighborhood and all of Seattle's wonderful parks. My boyfriend & I spend a lot of time just reading, walking, or relaxing at the parks...Golden Gardens and Green Lake Park are my personal favorites.

Another great thing to do here is all the free art walks, farmers markets, and free museum nights (first Thursday of each month...next Thursday to be precise!) Day trips outside the city will be great once you get a license. Trips to Whidbey Island, Port Townsend, Leavenworth, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker...etc.

There's a plethora of things to do here...I'm never bored! I hope you enjoy living here!

See the salmon run. Its pretty cool. Despite all of the gray, there are some really beautiful parks and stuff.

By the way, Kudos for being a vegan, and riding a bike. I'm to a vegetarian but I respect your devotion.
