what is an american? what makes someone an american? what does it mean to be an american?

1. you aren't an illegal immigrant
2. you actually say the pledge of allegiance and sing the national anthem
3. you always lose the remote control
4. eating out is how you survive
5. how to be famous-get rich and have a bunch of plastic surgery
6. the way to get rich?-suing somebody
7. who's fault is it ALWAYS?-the government's
8. you believe in freedom (but do you practice it?)

I guess we aren't that bad...there's good schools and health care, jobs, and transportation. We help cancer, save lives with our doctors, and give friendly smiles to strangers. Some people just need to get a hold of how great it really is to be American, and don't waste your life in this country being idle and selfish.
