Forrest Gump didn't have a leg disabiity. He had scoliosis, his back was curved. The braces were supposed to help.

He had scoliosis. It is a curvature of the spine. Most shaped like a C and others like a ?
you can have a herrington rod inserted to straighten it up with spinal fusion, which bone is grafted from the hip bones when this is done.
You can find alot of information from the shriners hospital (where i had my surgery) or look into some medical sites online.

It wasn't his leg, it was his back. Scoliosis, I think. It's a big curve in the spine. Check it out.
