I was just like that, an adolescent that thinks they know it all. I used to believe my parents were so full of it, that they were just blowin smoke. I guess to answer the question, an adolescent thinks they know everything, they want to experience things on their own. In the end when they grow up they finally realize that parents know a thing or two about life and its meaning. It's a circle of life, everybody will go through that stage. I know that I fear the day my two kids are adolescents and I have to put the "smack" down. You just live, learn, teach and grow with all your knowledge. Now worries, keep your head up :)

It aint like that girl im a teen to and I never listen to my parents either but somehow I do because when I go do things they told me not to do I somehow feel guilty but to tell you the truth a mother's or a father's advice is the best advice any girl or boy can have because everything that they lived is what we are going to live next ...... so don't feel like that it may seem that way but it's not.

It's a well known fact that teenagers know everything. And it's their sworn duty to make sure their parents know that at all times.
