I don't know where you live, but you need to check the county clinics in your area.

In some countries the Dr. won't tie your tubes until your of a certain age - my friend has four children and they are still reluctant to tie hers as she is just below age 30. It depends on your circumstances, but i'd say you'd have to have to have a very good argument in order to do them when you haven't had children. Maybe look into other birth control? And I'm sure that there would be cost involved at any rate.

Well where do you live?
I read that in some places there is an actual law that you are not allowed to get it done until you are a certain age. The age I read was 27.

i am not sure of how it works in Canada but in the states no Dr worth his degree will perform this procedure on a woman of child bearing age who doesn't have at least one child. they don't want to be held liable for a life change that makes you want to hone your motherly instincts :-)

i don't have any children and am a few years older than you but no dr will perform it for me; i live in the states

If you do not want any kids then don't worry about paying for the surgery cause it will cost you nothing. But if you are sexually active then you may want to reconsider and try other preventive methods to comply with your wish.
