A. As long as it's good, why not? Age makes no difference.

B. Absolutley.

By the way, I am a writer and I published my first book of poetry when I was 13. And you know what? I was part of LOTS activities frequented by 50 year old writers and I was acknowledged as the best.

I'm 16 now. And no, I'm not kidding. But there's nothing impressive about that, so why should I be kidding? There are lots of young children publishing books these days, it's not uncommon anymore.

If its a really good book, of course it can be published, but it would take a lot of work on the authors part.If the author is serious about being published, check out a book from the library on getting books published. For the second part, many of the good books out there are written by teens, if it was a subject I was interested in, I would read it.

Does writing have to be done by someone, say, 21 years or older? I would imagine that if you have talent, write a really good book and have a publisher who will work with you, then yes it might get published.
I think your experiences might be limited though - is it a children's book or similar? And yes I would read it if it were something I was interested in.

There is a science fiction book that was published last year by a 14 year old author called "The Prophecy of the Stones". It was about three girls, Opal, Jade, and Amber. It had a lot of magic in it. I bought it for my daughter, but ended up reading it first. It was really good.

A. the publisher must think it is a really good book.
B. yes, maybe, if it actually is a really good book on something I am interested in.
It is HARD TO GET PUBLISHED, but keep trying, as many successful authors had many returned manuscripts before they finally "made it". Beware of "self publishers" and "vanity press" publishers where they charge YOU to publish your book instead of pay you.

Of course you can! Christopher Paolini wrote "Eragon" when he was fifteen. After a few revisions, Random House published it and it made it to New Yorks #1 best seller. And guess what?! It's coming out as a movie in theaters Dec. 15. So definetly go for it!

If you can find a publisher who is willing to publish it then yes. I would read it if it were on a topic I'm interisted in and if it sounds good. You have nothing to lose. Go for it!
