Not bad, as long as you try again. And as long as you do well in English.

If all of your grades are fine then you will be ok. Failing one class is not going to hold you back from being accepted into a college.

On a personal note, I failed Spanish in high school and when I got to college I took a Linguistics class (the study of language) to fulfill my language requirement. There are alternatives available, you just have to look for them.

All the answers above this are correct... my advise is to try to "save it" by retaking the class and getting an "A." Get yourself a tutor and knock it out of the ballpark. This will tell the other school that it was a fluke and you came back strong.

It will bring down your GPA, which could affect if you get in and what financial aid you would receive.

Any F looks bad and screws up your GPA, drop it if you still can.
