I would like to have seen Nan go back with Kitty!
(But Flo was sweet though!)

Based on the TV adaptation your suggested ending would have been good. The book gives a much better picture of how Nan felt - she was really about to go away with Kitty until she saw Flo sat on a bench waiting for her. She then knew that while Kitty Butler would always be a part of her that love was not all about the thrill of an exciting life, or the comforts of wealth, she realised love was beig happy with the same person all the time every day and chose Florence over Kitty.
I think she made the right choice.
I love the ending of Tipping The Velvet and would not change it.

Have you read Affinity (also by Sarah Waters)... I would certainly like to alter the ending of that book (it made me cry).

All the lesbians private bits explode, Bruce Willis punches the lead characters off. Then the world blows up.

Nope, it was a perfect ending. That Kitty was an idiot.
