I have graduated from the top university in Romaina with a cummulative GPA of 3.46, and 3.76 in the last two years. I have 10 papers pubished in related EE fields and have applied for a patent in EE. I have ~4 years of part-time research exp at a Silicon Valley company (work in Romania) and at a top Physics institute in Romaina. I have also held tutorials across europe, but in different fields than my desired PhD. If MIT is too 'hot' please provide the names of some good schools where I might have a better chance. My GRE is 760Q 560V and only 4AW. Would it be better to retake the GRE? Thanks

Only someone at MIT can answer this question. You should write to the admissions office at MIT -- the link to the school's admissions office is below.

MIT is a very good school for engineering... good luck!
