Are you a giver a taker or both?

I would consider myself pretty balanced and rather more of a giver, but as of lately it seems when i give a little people expect a lot. More and more they keep coming especially at my work. What to do?

I guess you and i have something in common then! I feel the same way. I also feel that those who take most always want more if they give little back, and when doing so it's a case of making me feel i'm expecting too much of them! Well that was my story until i decided that!!! I was not going to give anymore than i had to give. My Christmas card list went down in numbers, and quite dramatically too! But!!! Those still on list? Give as much as they take so balance reestablished and i feel so much better for it!

I like to give but if we were all honest it is nice to receive once in awhile.
As far as work try to balance your giving whether it is your time or material things. Some people do take advantage of the generosity in people. Continue being the person you are but don't let others walk all over you.

I'm pretty even....it seems to come in waves there are times it seems all I do is give and that slacks off and I am given....as for your work never give unless you really want, you also try giving the minimum when you feel pressured

I do what I can do for others without resentment...if I start to resent what I am 'giving' to others, I am not really being motivated by love, but by a sense of obligation.

Use your reason wisely, if the only reason people gets near is to ask, reconsider your generosity.
