I have this habit of popping bumps (pimples, blackheads etc.) on my husbands back, and for a long time I thought I was the only one. It wasn't until I started seeing this same behavior written into movies and tv show that I realize its more than a personal thang.... can anyone out there relate?

It's not a wierd habit to take care of your mate. It's just a grooming-take-care-of-each-other thing.

I can relate to what you are saying!!!! I was at the beach the other day with my husband, kids and sis in law. I was putting suncream on hubby's back and then i saw it... The biggest juiciest pimple ever!!!! I was SO happy i could feel my habit taking over. I went in for the squeeze and it was ssssssooooooo satisfying!!!! All that stuff from one spot. what a rush. my sis in law was gagging and she could see that i was searching for another fix. she promised that she would vomit if i did it again, just as i spotted another. talk about will power!!!!!! It is just so cool. Hey do you want to start a pimple popping society???? Just a thought.

The first question I had was "Why does your husband have so many zits on his back?" Does he not wash his back or something? I'm a 43 yr old woman, and I don't have zits on my back.

Also, popping zits can potentially lead to an infection if popped wrong........so, I would apply stridex or some other acne medication, but I wouldn't pop them manually.

It does sound weird to me. I'm a nurse. The idea of sitting around popping zits for fun just sounds gross.

My husband used to think it is weird because he told me that none of his ex's have ever done that before. I told him that none of them have ever loved him as much either, but I just get board sometimes and my husband's sitting there with his shirt off and I look at his back and say hey there is a pimple or a stray hair and I just have at it. So, no it's not weird it's just love and we want our husband's to look and feel there best.... I can relate to you on this habit it's not weird, just different...

its not werid you are grooming your man..its like letting him know he has something in his teeth. I don't pop mine's pimples but I do clear out his blackheads. And he digs out my ingrown toe nails...part of being married I guess

I pop my man's zits for him. But only if he asks me to. If it bothers him I will, because his nails and fingers are to stubby.

I think there's a clinical name for this.
