Why are so many people against abortion?

Do they actually believe that a developing embryo or fetus is a separate human life? Or do they just want to punish girls for having sex?

An answer free of religious reasons but full of common sense for you... I think there are cases where abortion should be allowed:

- When a woman is raped and becomes pregnant

- When the girl is under a certain age when she becomes pregnant, say under 16

- In cases of incest

Women should be free to have sex but also take responsibility to see pregnancy doesn't occur unless it is wanted.

Well to answer the first part of your question: Show mr ONE Mother that has ever asked a person to come feel the Fetus kick. About the Only people I know that refer to a baby in Any stage of life as a Fetus are Abortion rights people. I simply believe they use that term to ease there mind when they think of going to the doctor and killing an Unborn child. Killing a baby: Killing a Fetus. They don't wanna call it what it truly is. As for the second part of your question. How would Banning Abortion Punish girls for having sex? You see there are these things out there in pharmacy's and stores everywhere called Birth Control. If you don't want a Child then ALL one needs to do is simply use BIRTH Control. All Abortion is is a LAZY persons GEE I didn't wanna use Protection Form of Birth Control. And Please don't Pull the RAPE card. If ALL abortions where banned tommorrow leaving an exception only for RAPE and Only those cases that actually Involved rape were performed we wouldn't have but a Hand full of abortions per year If that. Now think about it. If your parents had an abortion you wouldn't be here. Better yet How would you feel if your mother was pregnent with say your baby sister or brother and then simply for no other reason than wanting rid of the child had an abortion.

Yes many of us do believe the developing fetus is a separate human life. So aborting it is murder. Pro-choicers always bring up incest and rape as a reason to allow abortions on demand. Most woman/girls who get abortions aren't getting them for those reasons. Most didn't use protection, got pregnant, and then use abortion as a form of birth control. Someone said, what does it matter to anyone else? It's not their body or their baby. Would you say the same thing if your neighbor was trying to kill herself or her already born baby? I would hope not. Sorry. But if you believe in life at conception, abortion is murder.

Aborting a fetus is a sin. It is murder. It is taking the chance for a physical body and a life experience here on this earth for a spirit that is waiting to come here.

What if your mother had one. You would have lost your chance to come to this earth. We are here to gain a body and be tried and tested.

These spirits are losing their chances to come, many were promised to come to these certain mothers. It is a sad sad time in heaven when these babies are turned away by these SELFISH mothers. If you are pg and can't keep it... adopt it out!!

I have been trying to adopt an unwanted child for 8 yrs. Its so expensive becuase there are so few normal healthy babies. If these mothers would just let these babies have life, then give another familiy the chance to have that blessing and the child a chance for this life.

There will be a huge accountability one day before the Lord and the child for those mothers who killed their babies. Its an act of extreme selfishness. One that does have eternal remifications.

They want to play around and not protect themselves and then when a child is concived lets kill it because we were thinking with our pussy's and dick's instead of using the brain God gave us.

Judging from the fact that you don't see the pro-birth (don't call them pro-life, it's deceitful, they could care less about all the people killed in their Rethuglican WARS, they just like to see women and girls give BIRTH) people fighting for the rights of FLIES that actually have more cells than the blastocysts they are "protecting"..I think they just want to punish females for having sex. I didn't see any of the pro-birth commenters here mentioning anything about the MALE's responsibility in these matters. Oh no, it's all "her" fault. But yet, the man they vote for..BUSH (the devil himself) has taken money away from clinics that provide birth control to women and put that money (your tax dollars) into abstinence programs. These abstinence programs outright lie to people about sex which directly causes more pregnancies and also causes teenagers to engage in oral and anal sex (anal sex spreads the A.I.D.S. virus easier than oral or intercourse). AND this administration has also taken away money from places like Africa if they so much as mention the word abortion. They are not allowed to even talk about abortion and our kids here aren't getting educated about sex.

Plain and simple, the fetus is a part of a woman's body and she should be able to do with it as she decides. No Repugnantcan should be able to tell others what to do, look at the way they've sent our children to die in their immoral war in Iraq. Look at the 100's of thousands of innocent people, including women and children, they've cheered about killing in Iraq. These people need to start worrying about their own problems and stop trying to control women. Women have enough troubles trying to make it in this world.

Tell you what, you go look up pictures on abortion. I have seen some on partial birth abortion and it makes me want to puke just thinking about the pain that fetus is in. If anyone doesn't want a baby there are way too many ways of preventing getting pregnant now days for someone to "accidentally" get pregnant.

So yes I am against abortion. Adoption is another way to give people that really want a child to have one. Its a shame how many women have kids they dont want while there are so many that really want kids and cant have them. Sorry for ranting.

If an embryo is in fact a human, can it survive outside of it's mother on its own? Of course it can't.

I believe that a fetus/embryo is in fact NOT A HUMAN and therefore it is absolutely NOT MURDER to abort the fetus.
