i just started reading chobits and it kinda confuses me. can anyone explain the history of chi? i think that might help me understand the plot better....

First thing first, I'm an Indonesian so my English is a little messed up. I'll try not to confuse you..
Chii is a special persocon (chobits)that has expressions and can think without instruction.
More Facts about Chobits :
- Chii got a twin sister named Frei or Freya or something like that.. .since her twin sister was broken, her creator input her data to Chii. That's why Chii often saw Freiya floating around her
- Chii was created by Hibiya and her husband
- Chii's reset button was in her you-know-what

Chii is a Chobits that was created by her "dad" and "mom" and her sister fell in love with their dad so she kinda.. "suicided" I guess so Chii let Elda, her sister, transfer herself into her. Like.. you know. I only saw the anime series so it might be a little bit different

In the beginning, Chi's history is supposed to be hazy and confusing. Slowly, the more you read, more of her past is revealed.

u should rent or buy the dvd's their really great and its a fun love story. watch it in japanese with english subtitles, makes it more intresting.
