i recently bought a d drive and wen i put a cd in it it says plz intert cd?

Sounds like a defect, take it back.

Either that, or it's not supporting the format you're using on the CD...if it's cd-r, then any cd drive should support it...

maybe u need a cd kind of type to stick it in like on my computar i can use only hp disks but c maybe its about
that

check your drivers. right click on my computer, select manage, go to device manager, check if your devices have any yellow questions marks next to them.
