I think in our society we are moving towards androgyny. On the other side of the coin of the female gender acting tough, guys now pay a lot more attention to how they look. Twenty years ago a guy was considered a nut case if he spent much time on his grooming. Now we have make-up for men, hair coloring and fifty million cologne fragrances. At one time a guy spent two seconds combing his hair, slapped on some All Spice and walked out the door.

Because at your age, many of them are still tougher than boys and could kick their butt if necessary. Also the hormones haven't kicked in yet, so they have no interest in being 'girly' yet.

we act rowdy because we can. not all girls are obsessed with looks or populairty. some of us play alot of sports. on the clothes thing, i cant help you there
