Yeah, I'm talking about those PETA extremists, the ones that stare you down at O' Charlie's over their soymilk and salads because you just ordered some chicken tenders.

I mean, I don't like the thought of me going out and shooting cute fuzzy things myself, but I really don't mind if other people do it. It keeps the animal population down. As long as the people shooting it eat the animal, why not? Also, people have eaten meat for as long as we have lived. Og clubbed a mammoth and ate it. Why shouldn't John shoot a deer and eat it? One hundred out of millions isn't going to do anything.

Also, as mentioned above, why do people get so upset over other people eating meat? It's just like religions for me; I respect them as long as they don't force it on me.

Cows, chicken, and other animals that we usually eat are raised just for it- I'm pretty darned sure that they won't go extinct.

So... why do they do so, and have you ever had an experience like this?

I have no idea. I am a rancher's daughter, so I've been raised on meat. I go and hunt and clean the deer and dove and whatever else we happen to shoot, and we eat all the parts that are edible. I've had so many experiences with PETAish people, but the most recent one was pretty funny. My dad has a booth in two different farmers markets in the same city, and I was running one while he was at the other one, across town. I was selling our lamb when a lady walked up. She wanted to know how fresh the meat was. I told her that we took the lambs to the packing house every other week, and that particular lamb was only about three days packaged. She asked how we killed them. I told her it was a humane process, just a simple blow to the head. They don't even see death coming. She made a few nasty comments, and ended with "I don't see why you don't change your sign. 'Just a blow to the head lamb' would be so much more efficient." Then she walked off. These people don't understand that people have lively hoods and need meat to live. I don't understand them.

via fact some nasty human beings misrepresent the gang. almost all of persons that eat meat are wonderful, functional human beings. I in basic terms dislike those that are condescending, do no longer understand what they're conversing approximately and could no longer settle for any new information, or continually commence arguments on objective just to harass us. yet there are some vegetarians and vegans that are like that too, so... with the help of ways ingesting meat would not make you a carnivore. All people are omnivores, meaning we've the call of ingesting the two meat or animal products, or any mixture. Being vegan or vegetarian would not make you a herbivore the two.

I don't like to hear stories about hunting. I don't agree with it but as long as you eat what you shoot I think it is okay. I just DO NOT want to hear about it. I'm not going to stare at you in a restaurant. I eat meat just not certain kinds. I won't eat deer meat and I think the reason that I am so against hunters is Disney movies. Bambi and Fox and the Hound are terrible movie that portray hunters killing mothers of cute little babies and I still won't watch them down to this day.

I like hunting but I hate hunters who shoot the animal and then leave it there to die, instead of using it for food. To me that's ungrateful and a total waste.

Some vegans are extremists who think that meat-eaters should feel guilty for eating meat and not eat it (but not all vegans are like that). You have teeth designed for the job, so why not eat meat? It's a great source of protein, it's delicious, and there's nothing wrong with eating it.

I don't eat veal because the way they treat the calf is very cruel and malicious. I also don't eat Chinese food because I read on PETA's website (I'm not a member of PETA) that people in China beat cats and dogs to death in their streets. Whether that's true or not doesn't change my mind about their food. I also absolutely refuse to eat foie gras; the method they use is unspeakable and without a doubt seriously cruel. I'm very proud of the decisions I've made.

No one has scolded me for eating meat, though. And I agree with you.

Well, some people hunt for sport and some people hunt to put food on the table. I don't much like the former of the two because they're doing it for entertainment.
The human race wasn't built on people eating veggies, so I say, "Go for the meat!"

How companies kill the animal in the factory to begin with. And how that animal had to die for us to survive. It's all about the survival of the fittest but some people prefer it without eating animals

I don't like hunters. I'm not a vegeterian because i don't like veggies and I love meat. but i still think it's cruel of us killing animals to eat. But many ppl kill them for no reason at all, like Canadians are killing baby seals just for fun.
