I had a really good best friend. We were pretty close. I noticed we were drifting a couple weeks ago and confronted him about it telling him how much it hurt to think that and how good of a friend he was. He got mad and called me possessive. After that day he wouldn't look at me or try to talk to me. About a week later things still hadn't changed and I asked him again why he thought things were like that. He said he hated me and didn't want me to ever talk to him. I have tried talking to him again since then and he just won't listen or try to understand. He acts like it doesn't even bother him but I can't get the whole situation out of my head. He told one of my friends that we aren't getting along because I chewed him out and will not talk to him. It's the complete opposite. I talked to some of his past best friends and 2 of them told me he did the exact same thing them. I don't understand it. I can't let it go. It's been bugging me for weeks and I want to fix it.

Your not going to be able to fix this... whats bothering you is the fact you feel you weren't treated fair and there wasn't good reason for him to back off of your friendship... let it go... I know you want to talk to your x friend but he thinks he's right and your not going to change his mind... he sounds like an ego freak... and you are better off without him... other people told you he's done this before ... how much more crap are you going to take... this person doesn't sound like much of a friend... and there is also this need to sometimes to have the last word and to explain and the freak doesn't want to hearit... move on... hope this helps!!!

I say, just leave it. I don't think it'll get any better. He's just 1 of those guys that get tired of the "old" people and wants 2 find new 1s. I suggest trying 2 hang out with other friends and see if it gets better. If not, then I guess you've done all u really can do. Sorry 'bout ur friend.
