Caffeine is a stimulant, the kind which will only make you edgy and lose sleep. If Caffeine is used to stay up and study you should be okay, but try to avoid caffeine before you take the test, because it may make you even more agitated and nervous than the regular pre-test jitters would.

everyone is different. my guess on caffeine is that it helps a majority of people if used correctly, and that it helps a significant amount. don't overdo it. just use a regular dose or two... a redbull, a cup of coffee, or a few cups of tea.

caffeine can interfere with sleep for up to 15 hours, supposedly. caffeine is physically addictive, as is evidenced by caffeine withdrawal headaches in some people. if you use caffeine often, you will build a tolerance and it won't work as well at test time.

Caffeine will make you smarter on tests, especially if you are sleepy.

It will NEVER make you smarter as suggested. It will keep you awake, however. It is also habit forming, so it is best to avoid using it.

Chow!!
