im 15 weeks & i have gained no weight i have ALWAYS been real skinny...i started off at 127lbs, then at my next appt i was 121lbs... & thats where ive been ever since...my limbs look skinnier, like the legs of my pants are loose, but i cant button or zip them up (which means baby is growing!!)... is that kind of normal to not gain anything... i dont think that it is...has anyone been in a similar situation? when did you start to gain weight?? any advise on what to do...should i be worried??? i eat all day long, i have my next appt on nov 2 & im gonna bring this issue up then, but in the meantime should i be worried??

First off... CONGRATULATIONS!!! And second, I see no reason for you to be worried. Many do not necessarily gain weight in there first trimester. Many people will lose weight or stay the same during the first trimester due to mornign sickness and fatigue. And/or just not feeling like eating. During my second pregnancy I lost ten pounds in my 1st trimester even though my clothes quit fitting.

Since you are experiencing similar things I would say you and the baby ar doing just fine. And definately tell your doc that you are concerned. Any questions or isssues you are having, let them know. They will usually tell you everythign will be fine. But they will also appreciate your concern and frankness for lettign them know.

They will be able to alleviate your concerns better than just about any friend or stranger can.

That sounds very normal! It also sounds like you were pretty thin to begin with, with a high metabolism. So that could have something to do with you being able to eat a lot and not gain a pound( so lucky!)!!! I didn't start gaining until 20 weeks. And still then it was very slow... As long as you're eating well for you and baby...you shouldn't worry about what the scale says!

Every persons body handles pregnancy differently. I know this girl who gained only five pound when she was pregnant.... well, she lost like ten initially and then gained fifteen, and the baby was like 8 pounds when she was born.... perfect baby too! As long as your OB isn't concerned about it, I wouldn't be either. Take your prenatal vitamins, eat healthy, drink a lot of water, and you and the baby should be fine. If you are concerned, let your doctor know. S/he will let you know if there is cause for concern.

Good luck to you!

I lost about 40lbs with my first. The baby was growing so after I had her I weighed about 5 pounds less than when I got pregnant. With this one I have lost 8 so far. My doctor is not concerned. My butt is smaller but my tummy is bigger.

as long as you are being healthy there is nothing wrong. Just keep eating and you will gain the weight your body needs. I had two girls and never gained more than 15 lbs. (mostly their weight) You will be fine.

You'll start seeing the weight if any during the last weeks. On your second baby you'll notice it by the 2nd month.
