How to known how big an hardisk the existing mother could could handle ?
I want to buy an 100GB but I dont known the actuel motherboard could handle or not and what kind of memory stick to use with

A hard drive is only attached to the mother board by an IDE cable. The size of hard drive is irrelevant. You don't have to change memory sticks either. The real question is whether your EIDE is good enough for this new hdd to utilize it to the max. Perhaps you need to upgrade to newer computer.

All you really have to know is, if you use a SATA HDD, you may have a problem installing that. As long as you use a IDE HDD, you should have no problems with installation. Just follow the instructions that come with the HDD for installation, format it and you'll be ready to go.

use everest home edition and find out what kind of motherboard you have and look it up
