Use aniseed oil on the joints. Pour over the cracks and leave it to soak in. Problem solved....

The solution always depends on the source. If you have access underneath the floor, you can get some wood screws(make sure they are the right length so they do not come up through the floor). Go underneath the floor with the screws and a bar of soap. Coat the screw with the soap, and srew up from under the floor. This will pull the floor down to the subfloor tight, and the soap prevents that screw from ever squeaking in the future.

I just saw this on one of the home improvement shows. You didn't say if it is under carpet or a 2nd story...Find the floor Joices (not sure how to spell), normally 16" centers. There is a special nail that has a long stem that snaps off flush into the plywood. They used a cool tool that hammered the nail in just far enough then flipped it over and snapped off the extra part and head. You couldn't detect it at all under the carpet. Talk to Home Depot or Lowes.

If the floored is nailed down....sometimes the nails loosen....replace nails with wood screws = no more squeaky!

it means that the wood flooring is coming off the rafters or the sub flooring....get some liquid nails (similar to caulk)....and go under the house and apply it to the rafters where the squeaks are coming from ......

I would go with Roy, it's cheaper to start with that, and if it doesn't work, I'd call a professional.
