The best way to deal with soar throat is to rely on natural home remedies as its safe and 100% free from any side-effects. I have compiled some of the home remedies for treating soar throat.

* Garlic is the most important remedy for sore throat. Chew some garlic pieces.
* Gargle with warm salt water. It is the best old age home remedy.
* Prepare a mixture by adding ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar and ¼ cup of honey. Take one tablespoon every four hours or as needed for pain relief.
* For sore throat get a small dixie cup, pour cultured buttermilk in the cup. Slowly swish and gargle it in your mouth slowly drink a small cup of it every hour for 1 day and sore throat will be gone next day.

The teas, honey, lozenges and other ideas are great for treating the symptom. But you really need to treat the cause. See the doctor, but also see your dentist to make sure that you don't have dental issues as they can also cause sore throats.

If it's an infection (like sinuses that cause mucus to drip down your throat, causing among other problems, sore throats) you can treat with garlic, mega doses of Vitamin C, Colloidal Silver, and/or Echinacea & Goldenseal. B vitamins will also help if you're feeling stressed out.

I would suggest you gargle with warm salty water, about a teas. in half glass of warm water. Next get you some zinc lozenges and some Cepacol lozenges at Wal-Marts.... they are less expensive there. Also take some zinc vitamins. The zinc lozenges are fast working for either a cold or sore throat. The Cepacol takes away the soreness and pain of a sore throat almost instantly.
