volume is a contenance you can express in liters or in cubic meters (centimeters, decimeters...).
To calculate a volume you need to think large, long, wide (that's why for a cube it's a ^3.
cube volume for a cube of side a cm: a x a x a so it's a^3 cm^3
1 m^3 = 1 000 dm^3= 1 000 000 cm^3
and, if I remember well 1l =1dm3 (check that one)

Volume is mass, it is also used to messure weight, and it is used to turn something up. Like music and the T.V.
