She hates me at the moment and says she can and will do this on her own, but I WANT desperately to be part of the childs life. She says I don't even have to pay child support yet I would not mind what so ever and want to be a part of my childs life. We argued alot but I never touched her physically.

Not if the courts have anything to do with it.

You have rights as a parent and even more than you, your child has rights to see his or her father.

My suggestion is that you seek assistance from the District Attorney's office. You need legal advice and the sooner you start the process, the sooner you will be a part of your child's life.

A judge will always side with you so long as you are 'stepping up to the plate' and taking responsibility, which it sounds like you are doing.

Keep your record clean and do well at work and start getting people lined up that can speak on your behalf as to the sort of father you will be to this child.

DOCUMENT/DOCUMENT/DOCUMENT! I can't stess that enough.

Get a large calendar and every time you speak with her, see her or write her or hear from her, you document every conversation, date and time and how it was done, via phone, in person, etc... and be perpared to show a judge A PATTERN of any kind, hopefully in your favor.

In the meantime, you say you would be willing to pay child support. Might I suggest that you set up a separate savings account NOW and begin putting a certain amount of money into that savings every month, IN GOOD FAITH and be prepared to show a judge that you have been doing this during the pregnancy in an attempt to show how serious you are about being a productive, loving parent to your child.

Even if you start with only 50.00 dollars a month, even 25.00. It is something and then go get a better job and increase the deposit amount ASAP. If you can get your savings deposits up to about $400.00 a month that would show a sincere effort on your part.

No she can't keep your child out of your life. Unless you are on drugs or something, even then I think you still have the right to atleast see them. Well no she can't. This woman should not be that selfish not to let her child know or see the father, the problem is between you two. She may get over it soon, it might just be early pregnancy that's making her act that way. I say don't provoke her to more anger. Again you have a right to your children so don't worry about her threats.

As long as your a good, supportive father who is a part of this childs life she can't keep you away from the child. Unless your on drugs or she can prove you unfit. Other than that you have nothing to worry about, because I think it is great that you want to be and I think she will open her eyes as well. Because not all men wants to be a part of their childrens lives.

No, as the father you have legal rights to be in contact with your child. You may have to provie it with a paternity test, and she may cause problems so that you have to sue for visitation, but you do have rights. Also, if she's 2 1/2 mos. pregnant, she's really going through major hormonal changes, and her feelings may change at a later time, especially if you're patient and show her that you really do want to be there for the child.

Give her some time and space to adjust to the pregnancy hormones, then buy her a gift for the baby and explain to her that you really want to be a part of your baby's life.
Tell her that you are sorry for the way your relationship ended, but would like to remain friends for the child's sake.

call ORS get involved in paying child support before she can not put your name on the irth certificate. You have to act fast. Find out what you can do, contact a lawyer mabey, they will give you free consults at first. do it. Thanks for being responsible. My husband and I are in a battle with an ex he had, and we hardly ever get to see the baby because she is a jerk. (wanted to use other words) but we still love that baby.

If you were never married, take her to court to establish paternity and then you can have child support and visitation set up.
