A Million Little Pieces I thought was a very good book. It was a little graphic at times, but overall it was a very good read.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what the definition of a novel is but any books by Sarah Dessen and Nicholas Sparks are really good.

Try Jack duBrul, James Doss, John Dunning, Clive Cussler, Matthew Reilly, James Rollins, Stuart Woods, J.A.Jance, etc. Too many authors to name. Not enough time to read. Enjoy!

Try Diana Gabaldon, but you have to read them in order
1 OUTLANDER (Cross stitch in Britain)
2 DRAGONFLY IN AMBER
3 VOYAGER
4 DRUMS OF AUTUMN
5 FIERY CROSS
6 A BREATH OF SNOW AND ASHES.
You can also try her Lord John stories, but many of those are short stories and are in compilation books.
LORD JOHN AND THE PRIVATE MATTER is the only one that is a book on it's own, available in the US.
