I cannot stand the way she eats..with her mouth open and talks while she's eating her food..anyone noticed that?

Maybe. Cynthia Nixon had her last child, a son in December 2002. The episode where she gives birth was aired in February of 2002. She might have gotten pregnant after her character's pregnancy. Its hard to believe that tough Miranda was once the little hippie chick in "Little Darlings".
