The world (or life, or the universe, or our dimension, etc.) is a paradox only so far as a given aspect can not be explained. Few of us are taught up to a systems level, and many theories do not serve to promote systems thinking, therefore, many of the singular variables simply "do not add up." Systems theory suggests that we achieve synergy via the combination of variables, and even the combination of sets of systems.

Can and will everything eventually be explained. I would say, definitively, yes and no. An answer to the negative suggests that we are always open to paradox, as there is no level of theory, even unified theory, that will be capable of explaining every aspect or event in its entirety. An answer to the positive suggests that life (or the universe, or the world as we know it, etc.) is itself the answer to life's question.

If you can conceive of interpreting everything you see, hear, taste (etc.), simultaneously, and providing a complete interpretation of each event, variable, trait, etc., within the context of everything to which that specific event relates to (metaphor theory at a systems level), then you might be able to answer in the affirmative. This is similar to the Budhist thought, not so much that to understand everything one becomes nothing, but moreso in the manner that no single event exists alone, and thus must be taken in context with the whole, and so loses a sense of singularity -- becoming absorbed into the whole -- such that a notion of discrete observation ceases to have meaning.

How any of this relates to the notion of a heaven introduces metaphysical properties, and it is my personal belief that until we have a handle on reality, venturing beyond reality is a moot point.

The world is not a paradox, people do want to go to heaven, but they really don't believe it's there, that's why they don't want to die.
