Eg. "Love is squeezing the spot on your partners back."
Ok a little gross but you get my drift.

love is........almost beyond words........i suppose one very good qoute is from jesus (and no, im not a bible basher) "and what greater example of love than to give one's life for a friend" at least i think that is it...it is roughly what he said.
i think love is unconditional, or should be, its like something my mum said to me once..."no matter what you do or say, or have done, i will always love you, ya know that right??" i think that i s a very good example of the whole unconditional thing. i wont get into why she said it, but it made me so happy to hear those words.
i think love is also a mutual intention of helping each other improve...i have a very close friend and i love him to bits (and no, im not gay) and we will always give each other advice and kick each other up the bum if we arent doing things right...basically because we dont want to see each other fail in life.
i agree with another answer on here -- love is respect....
but i think in all simpleness -- love is the feeling of being complete inside yourself and knowing you have a purpose....i think that the old saying is true about needing to love yourself before you can love anyone else.

putting up with farting (on both sides!), accepting the odd pube in the soap, and picking up after each other.

And after all that, sitting down on the sofa and hugging up to a Rambo/Bridget Jones film and both staying awake and loving every minute! (for the other's sake, obviously, but that doesn't matter! At least you showed interest!)
