I have b-ball tryouts on monday =D
i'm really nervous though!! what are some things i can do during the tryouts to "blow" the "judges" heads off.
I want them to pick me out of everybody and go,
"WOW look at them"

I'm really good at basketball but so is alot of the people trying out!!
so, what can i do during tryouts so i'll be on the team?

For example:
-be confident
-be sure to dribble with bothe hands so they know your good at it!!
-when dribbling, keep your head up!!

-etc.

THANKS!!!!!!!!

make sure that the ball doesnt go higher than your waist when dribbling, practice BOTH right and left handed layups and practice your jumpshots and freethrows. if u can manage all that then u should make the team without a doubt.

OK First of all you don't need to show off to get there attention. 2nd of all you don't need to be nervous you need to be confident in yourself. When you go to try outs don't let any one know that you are tired if you get tired act like you have plenty of energy left for example most people put there hands on their knees when they git tired DON"T DO THAT just pretend not to be tired even if you are because your coach will think that you are in Great Shape. Next if you see someone out there that is struggling or having a hard time or seems to be really nervous you need to go talk to them encouarage them cheer them on when they are struggling, show the coach that you have great leadership skills, Most coaches really look for that quality in a b-ball player. Lastly jus play like you've never played b4 put your whole heart into it and pay attention to everything they say and don't goof off b-serioius and Most important have fun!! Good Luck!!

i'm sure there will be some type of scrimmage 3 on 3 or whatever... this is to see how you play in a team environment... make sure your not a ball hog... be assertive and agressive... constantly hussle... do not loaf around from drill to drill... make sure to get your teammate involved during the scrimmage.... and always play with a smile on your face... good luck

PLAY YOUR HEART OUT.... GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE. COACHES LOVE A PLAYER THAT SHOWS A LOT OF EFFORT. MOST COACHES LOOK FOR EFFORT INSTEAD OF JUST ATHLETIC SKILLS. GOOD LUCK!
