A little help required please.

I have used Firefox for a bit now its very good. Had to re-load the Firefox browser yesterday, got the new version 2.0,, also looks very good.
The problem is now when I open the browser it small, not full screen, and when I re-set the toolbar buttons (customise) the bar will not hold the info, and reverts back to its default every time when I shut the browser, and comes back in the default when re-opened, it's never done this before, its always held the new settings in the past.

NB: Windows XP serviceP2

Any and all help will be appreciated,, thank you in advance.

Are you familiar with Firefox profiles? A profile contains all the extensions, user preferences, bookmarks and other settings. It is not uncommon that a profile becomes corrupted. Many of the problems you mentioned could be caused by a corrupted profile. Try creating a new profile and see if it solves the problem. These are the steps you need to create a new profile. Go to Start menu > Run > enter "firefox.exe -p" (without the quotation marks) > [Enter] > a new dialog window will appear > click [Create Profile...] > enter a name for your new profile > [Next] > [Finish] > [Start Firefox]. Try again to set your preferences. See if this solves the problem. If not then I agree with the other answerer and you should uninstall and reinstall Firefox 2.0

Goswin is right - change to Linux, or at least have one Linux box and one Windows box - you'll love it! Trust me. No more security software needed - Linux doesn't need it.

But Firefox profiles can be irritating when upgrading. If you go to the Firefox forums and look for where it gives you the location of the profile - if you just delete the entire profile, that may work (it worked for me). Note down your favorites first.

I switched to firefox and after a while, i decided to switch the operating system for it too. Try Pc linux, pretty similar to mickeysoft and contains security and software win can only dream of. Try, won`t cost you a penny.

Sounds like something went wrong with the update. I would uninstall, reboot, reinstall.

You might want to go spelunking in those options. ;) Opera can get you IP banned.
