My credit is shaky at best, but I do have a car that is almost paid off that I have never missed a payment on. When I want to get a new car, will this make things considerably easier? Will I be able to get a good deal?Thx.

With good car credit, you will have an easier time than if you had problems. Conversely if you had good credit with everything but your car, it would be harder to get a car loan.

Check with your bank or credit union first, to see what kind of financing options they will offer, and then see if you can do better elsewhere!

If you have made payments on time that should go a long way. When you say "Shaky" I assume you mean below 620 fico scores...that would depend how low you are. To find out I'd go to myfico.com to find out "EXACTLY" what your score is. Don't use scores from places like true credit because they aren't "TRUE" scores..onlu myfico is what the banker will see (for REAL scores). Also use the "cppsavings" as you dicount code it will save you $4.
If you over 620ish you should have no problem
Good luck

It really depends on your credit score. I would try the same company you financed your current car through. Perhaps they will appreciate your timely payments however in general, you are still a risk if you are late on other stuff.

Its all up to the bank you look for credit from. Some have certain criteria while others have something different. You won't know until you cross that bridge!
You say at best "shakey" however, would "bad" be a more accurate description? Then I'd say you got problems!
