I live in Dallas, Texas, and I am homesick for Louisiana. I miss hearing the thick Creole dialect, mon amis that know what a fais-do-do is, and the lush green trees of the bayou. I may live in Texas, but my ties to my heritage, and history run deep in Louisiana.( My family left France, to Nova Scotia, then migrated to south Louisiana, the region known as Arcadia. ) Mais Bien!
