Look at Micheal Jackson. He's the kIng of Pop but he never really had a proper childhood. It was sacrificed because of his quest for success. Maybe that's why he developed Neverland, so that he could rekindle his lost childhood

Superb question! There's probably a lot of truth in it; people who had a poor childhood or were too involved in something else at the time are probably trying to lose deeply themselves in something else. And those who had great childhoods probably feel less need to prove something to themselves later in life.

They probably feel like they have something to prove to the world, cos it makes them more determined to prove every1 wrong. i dunno
