Your question is an excellent question, one that takes a whole chapter on psychology, sociology, and modern culture. The simple answer is that our society has become so casual with the important relations in our life, such as friends, family, relatives and social groups that we turn most of our attention, our waking hours to the TV and the media in general. The rest of the time tha we are not working or watching TV, we talk and think about TV, so that our conversation with our friends and family are about TV, instead of what really is important in our lives. When my son was four years old, he almost never watched TV, and when he did he watched educational shows for toddlers or nature show in Spanish or Japanese or English. Today, my son is 7 years old, he is fully trilingual, and has no clue who Johnny Depp is (or it's modern day equivalent), but was very sad when Steve Irwin died. My son asks me about dinosaurs, insects, death and infinity. During the day he is busy doing homework, studying for Cub scouts, baking cakes with me or helping Grandad with the leaves outside. The point is that we are nurturing in him what is important in life. Other people, prefer to drop the kids in front of the TV and put them to bed after they finished the Burger King that Dad brought. My point being, that kids are a result of what the parents teach their children by saying and doing. In turn, society, lives it's life, it's shallow life, the best way they know: By turning to TV. Some people realize the emptiness in their life and turn to book, family and/ or church. Hope this helps.

no longer all young infants are like that. that's kinda humorous how some poeple say that young infants are too prepared approximately Miley Cyrus. From each and every of the individuals(teenage age,'direction) I met, almsot all say that they dislike Miley. i chanced on maximum Miley Cyrus likers have been 11 and under. Jonas Brothers became yet another tale.... many of the individuals (or women to be extra top- I on no account met a guy who beloved the Jonas Brothers) have been the two prepared approximately them (customarily because of the fact certainly one of them became warm or something) or merely wasnt involved.

I have no idea; I don't because for the most part I will never meet them, and for the most part they aren't people I would WANT to meet. I respect some of their talent, but that's the extent to which I care about them.

Fantasy. You fantasize what it would be like to be a movie star, to be treated like royalty, to be rich and famous, to possess power, etc. Since you haven't achieved such success yourself, you instead fantasize what it would be like to be associated with and recognized because of association with such people. Would it bring fame, fortune, and recognition to yourself? Would you obsess with the same people if they were poor nobodies? Probably not.

I think it's because we have nothing else to do. What would life be without obsessing over something? It's fun to be able to follow someone's life...and learn everything about them. It gives us something to daydream about, I guess.

Because they have fame and they are on tv so we think that if we are obbsesed with them then maybe we would be cooler so we learn about them and become amazed by them

Part of it is the human desire to build someone up so you can knock them back down. It's like a sport in the US.
