Black people are treated far better than whites at my job. And most of them SUCK at their jobs (meaning..they don't show up half the time, don't do their work, sit around chatting, **** stuff up). Yet they never get reprimanded EVER. If I do one tiny thing wrong I get yelled at. I'm a great employee who never calls off, never slacks off, and pays close attention to my work. Can I sue my stupid employer? It is technically a violation of Title VII. I'm definitely not the only person who has noticed this either.

There have been a few successful reverse discrimination suits. You will need to document everything with dates, times and witnesses, including times when other people have gotten away with things without consequences. In order to prove discrimination you not only have to prove that you are being unfairly targeted, but that a double standard exists.

Who knows? It's his word against everyone elses. Some pathetic reasons for alleging discrimination though - his beard does look odd to me, but most beards do, and I take the mickey out of my uncle about his beard. As he's white, I suppose that makes me beardist not racist. Also, the food issue - I'm sure most of us have been told take it or leave it if someone else has given us a lift to the shop, and sometimes some of us won't have found something we like in the shop - again, does that make us shop-ist? I know what I'm trying to say anyway.

Treverborden has a point. If you sue, you're putting yourself in danger of being labelled a racist. A better option for you would be to find another job, and from the sound of things, it should be relatively easy to find a job that's better than the one you've got. Since your employer is treating you like this, and being good to the lower quality employees, he will end up sufferring when his productive employee leaves and his lazy employees stay. I hope this motivates you. It sure would me.

I suggest you start keeping a journal of all these discriminatory incidents - names, dates, quotes, all the info you can get. For example, log when someone calls in sick, when someone gets reprimanded and for what, when, why, how, etc. Then, take this info to the HR dept (if there is one). That should be the first step. If they are not willing to deal with it (or there isn't an HR dept.), then pitch your case to a lawyer. If they think they can win, they will take it on a "pay if we win" basis. Without a verbalized slur or specifically expressed discrimination, though, it will be tough to prove such discrimination.

Why don't you get together with some of the others that have noticed it and form a partnership and go into business competing with your boss? It sounds like if a few of you left he'd be unable to deliver a decent product or service.

You can try to sue but you really won't accomplish much. Where do you live? If you are in the South then you can forget it. I also don't like lawsuits either. They are the reason for so much of the slacker attitude. I think it's time to change jobs.

I recommend getting a new job if you're that miserable. Lawsuits are half the problem with this country. They don't solve anything and you certainly wont get treated better as a result.

yes you could sue your employer if you feel it's that serious, however 1st I would say you need to re-evaluate what you're doing and compare to others maybe they are right and you're really f*** n up. After you re-evaluate your actions and you feel your still in the wrong talk to your boss, if you're not satisfied w/their answer speak w/their boss, and if you still don't see any changes, speak or write to the site president. -Good Luck
