I'm sure you can get the tranny overhauled by aamco, depending on where you are, there is also eagle transmission here in dallas, tx

1500 is a fair price for the job. If they come in under 1000 I'd be surprised. Take this into account too. Autozone wants 1200. That is for a re-manufactured transmission. You would still have to have it installed. So you would have to pay labor and fluids. What auto zone doesn't tell you either is that if that transmission doesn't work then you will have to pay someone to pull and put it back in again. All they do is give you another one.

Find kids party's, find your type of car, bring a friend and a creeper and your set! You will get a little dirty but you will be helping out this kid by teaching him or her that if you go to party's drinking and smokin weed, bad things happen! It's the cheapest transmission I've found!
