Hi Sara,

My daughter is also in the Marching Band and has to dress up for the game this Friday night. She is going to be a Dead Gothic Prom Queen. If you think about it most prom queens are bright, cheerful young ladies with gorgeous dresses, hair done perfectly, nails are freshly done, and a beautiful painted on smile, and has beautiful sparkling silver or gold jewelry from head to toe. Well, a Dead Gothic Prom Queen will look something like this: She wears an old teathered and torn dress with a bit of fresh dirt on it from rising up from her grave, black combat boots with black fishnet stockings, hair died jet black with a few strands of white mixed in, not fixed to perfection as she has been lying in her grave for many years, her nails are painted black and a bit chipped on the ends, her face is extremely pale but her eyes stand out from the darkness of the eyeliner and eye shadow that surround her deep sunk in eyes, lips are painted deep burgandy and outlined in black, her wrists are filled with many bracelets that almost cover her fore arms completely, long dull chains around her neck that are tarnished from age and filth, and earrings that dangle to her shoulders, not to mention the black leather spiked choker around her throat. I'm excited already!! I cant wait for the game on Friday. You just have to use your imagination and anything is possible. Look online and do a search for "home made halloween costumes", you'll see lots of great ideas.

This year i'm going as indiana jones. Its warm because it requires pants, a long sleeve shirt, jacket and hat, and its not too outlandish, you might even find you can wear the costume pieces on a day to day basis. The fedora, which isnt that crazy, is probably the most outlandish thing in the costume. Also, it will be very comfortable and easy to march in, you dont want some crazy flowing costume messing up your performance!

Yeah! Simply be a BLUES BROTHER!!! Use brown eye/lip liner for sideburns, get a black hat, tie, pants, shoes, and jacket. Get a white shirt, black glasses, and a plastic black hat from party city, and you've got a great costume, that EVEN has to do eith music!

Go as the Michillin tire man. Just put on a white sweat suit and stuff it with pillows....Then you are bound to stay warm and comfy. Good Luck!!!!

Be a cupcake. I think a marching cupcake playing an instrument would be awesome!

how about a dressing up as a dead band member? just wear your usual band outfit, but get some bloody makeup or something.
