Mankind is capable of awesome feats.
But proving 1+1=3? That's just math, and math is the creation of man. It's just our little way of dealing with the universe around us,in a manner that our inadequate minds can comprehend. The only reason we count in units of 10 is because of the number of fingers on our hands.....Unless you're from an inbred family.
Just imagine how different our system of numbers would be if we all lived in the same universe with Homer Simpson. He,and all his friends and family, only have 8 fingers! We'd have a completely different way of counting and dealing with quantities. And don't go assuming that we'd be counting 8,16,24,32,etc....Those numbers are just figures that you and I understand! They would have a system that adds multiples of 8 in a way that we add multiples of 10.It would be a way of thinking that is totally alien to our understanding.

That's proven already. 1 man plus 1 woman = 1 baby = family of 3. And no, everything's not possible for human beings. There's unlimited potential in humans, but we'll eff it up somehow.

1+1>2. It's a theory called synergy where the sum of two entities is more than the sum of their individual abilities. But really, math was developed by man and there is therefore no reason why it couldn't be reasoned that 1+1=3.

The original quote is "This be possible, 'All things made possible' ". This means that while not everything is possible, it is possible to make something possible.

By the way, your example has already been proven by some mathematicians, in as much as anything is ever 'proven'. They take some liberties with mathematical expressions to do it, but they've done it.

one man may be able to convince himself as well as his children that 1+1= 3 but as many other movements in history those used to the old way will pass on their beliefs to their children and they will never giove into change
