the rear abs speed sensor is located in the rear end. and actually will have nothing to do with the brake pedal height...I'm not really sure what you mean buy unhooking the rear brakes...there Is a a certain way that the brakes have to be bleed including the rear wheel abs valve....the quality of the part you installed could also be in question....take it to a professional and have it fixed correctly your safety of you and others is more important than saving a few dollars.

no longer devoid of almost thoroughly redoing the entire equipment. ABS is designed to keep away from the wheels from "lock-up" on a similar time as braking. If the wheel is stopped on a similar time as the vehicle is moving, the resistive forces utilized to the floor for the period of the tire is critically much less then the braking potential of the motor vehicle. ABS will "pulse" the brake line tension, like a man or woman "pumping the brakes" in basic terms lots swifter than a human is able to. it is acceptable optimum braking potential devoid of exceeding the tires grip on the line floor. It additionally facilitates the driving force to maintain administration of the motor vehicle for the period of emergency braking. (If the wheels are not turning, you won't be able to steer) If a driving force looses administration of a motor vehicle geared up with useful ABS, it would not have grew to become out any further efficient devoid of ABS. They have been in basic terms exceeding the protection limits for the given circumstances.

You need to replace the RABS modulator. it is located on the frame rail beneath the driver's feet. They are available rebuilt at NAPA stores, as well as from the Ford dealer.

Good Luck
